Volleyball Recap: Village Christian Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against The O'Neal School on Tuesday, Village Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Mintz Christian Academy Lions on Friday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Village Christian Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10, 25-11.

Celeste Horn paced Village Christian Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Horn got some help from Meghan Holzinger and her six assists.

Village Christian Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2. As for Mintz Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coincidentally, Village Christian Academy and Mintz Christian Academy will both be playing Northwood Temple Academy the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Knights will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
