Volleyball Recap: Tri-West Hendricks' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After a string of three wins, Tri-West Hendricks's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Westfield Shamrocks. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Shamrocks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Tri-West Hendricks came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 25-22.

Leading Westfield to victory were Kendyl Strack and Kenna Robinson. Strack had 17 digs and ten aces, while Robinson had 18 assists and five digs. Those ten aces gave Strack a new career-high.

Tri-West Hendricks' defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Westfield, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Tri-West Hendricks will head out to take on Western Boone at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westfield, they will venture away from home to challenge Plainfield at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
