Football Game Preview: Hartford Orioles vs. Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings

The Hartford Orioles will head out on the road to face off against the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hartford has given up an average of 26.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hartford's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against Homestead on Friday. They took a blow against the Highlanders, falling 48-0. While losing is never fun, the Orioles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Highlanders are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wisconsin Lutheran). They took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 54-8 victory over Milwaukee Lutheran. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Red Knights: they've now won five in a row.

The victory got Wisconsin Lutheran back to even at 3-3. As for Hartford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Hartford was able to grind out a solid win over Wisconsin Lutheran when the teams last played back in September of 2016, winning 27-20. Do the Orioles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
