Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

St. Edward won the last time they faced Streamwood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Green Wave had just enough and edged out the Sabres 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was St. Edward who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 17-25, 25-8.

Sam Pogorzelski paced St. Edward's offense, picking up seven kills. Pogorzelski really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 20. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

St. Edward's victory ended a six-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-20. As for Streamwood, their loss was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-23.

Looking ahead, St. Edward will take on Aurora Central Catholic at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Streamwood, they will face off against Elk Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
