Basketball Preview: Caston Comets vs. South Bend St. Joseph Huskies        
        
		
            The Caston Comets will face off against the South Bend St. Joseph Huskies at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Saturday, Caston needed a bit of extra time to put away Triton. They walked away with  a   56-48  victory over the Trojans.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Caston to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Madisyn Douglass, who  posted 27  points along with five  boards and four  steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which  Douglass has scored at least a third of Caston's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Grace Colvin, who  had 14 points in addition to six  rebounds and five  assists.
 Caston  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 14  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least ten  offensive boards in four consecutive  games.

 Caston better focus on containing  Trinity Parker and  Kayla Woods as the pair were huge in South Bend St. Joseph's win. Parker  went 9 of 14  on her way to 20  points and three  steals, while  Woods  put up nine points along with seven  rebounds and six  assists. The dominant performance gave  Parker a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kenadie Schrock, who  posted six  points in addition to six  boards and five  assists.
 South Bend St. Joseph has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. As for Caston, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
