Basketball Game Preview: James Monroe Yellow Jackets vs. Culpeper County Blue Devils

The James Monroe Yellow Jackets will challenge the Culpeper County Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in James Monroe's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.

James Monroe took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat King George 79-49.

Culpeper County played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They strolled past Spotsylvania with points to spare, taking the game 64-49.

James Monroe has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for Culpeper County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
