Flag Football Recap: Summer Davis' Menacing Defense Leads Westlake over Upland + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Westlake rose to the challenge on Saturday. They snuck past the Upland Highlanders/Scots with a 12-6 victory. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly six points.

Westlake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Summer Davis, Annabel O'Keefe, and Olivia Elsokary picked up one apiece. O'Keefe got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Westlake pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average over those games. As for Upland, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-7.

Looking ahead, Westlake will take on Corona del Mar at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Upland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
