Football Recap: Jordan Brown Leads Palm Beach Central's Defense on Wednesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spanish River, Palm Beach Central was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Dwyer Panthers as the Palm Beach Central Broncos made off with a 30-6 win. Considering the Broncos have won four games by more than 19 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Palm Beach Central found their leader in sophomore KAYLEE WOOD, who threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown. WOOD didn't just play on offense: she also made four total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception. Another player making a difference was CIARA FRANCOIS, who rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Palm Beach Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Jordan Brown led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself.

Palm Beach Central's record is now 6-2. As for Dwyer, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

When Palm Beach Central and Dwyer next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Palm Beach Central will take on Park Vista and their three-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Palm Beach Central's defense has only allowed 9.6 points per game this season, so Dwyer's offense will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Dwyer will try to stop Palm Beach Gardens' four-game winning streak when they meet at 7:15 p.m. on March 20th.
