Softball Recap: Wildwood Comes Up Short

Wildwood lost against Leesburg on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildwood Wildcats came up short against the Leesburg Yellow Jackets, falling 26-2. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wildwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sariyah King, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Wildwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Leesburg, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Wildwood will venture away from home to face off against Cedar Key at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leesburg, they will welcome Eustis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leesburg knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Eustis likes a good challenge.
