Baseball Recap: North Moore Comes Up Short

North Moore extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-10. They lost 10-0 to the Eastern Randolph Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 10-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

As for Eastern Randolph, their record now sits at 8-11. That ten-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Eastern Randolph's part, Bryson Marley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Marley also allowed no hits, which is notable because Eastern Randolph is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 6-10 otherwise. Marley was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cade McCallum, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Eastern Randolph: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-11 otherwise. Carlos Cordero was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

North Moore didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-1 victory against Central Carolina Academy on the 16th. As for Eastern Randolph, they have also already played their next game, a 12-2 win against Faith Christian on the 16th.
