Soccer Game Preview: Brookville vs. Amherst County

The Brookville Bees will take on the Amherst County Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Brookville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Glass on Tuesday. They lost 5-1 to the Hilltoppers. Brookville were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Meanwhile, Amherst County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 4-2 to Heritage. The matchup was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Amherst County couldn't quite close it out.

Amherst County's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Brookville, they now have a losing record of 5-6-2.

Brookville skirted past Amherst County 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Bees repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
