Baseball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-0 to the McClintock Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-0 last Monday.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for McClintock, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will host Crismon at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for McClintock, they will welcome Alhambra at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
