Volleyball Recap: Sturgis Comes Up Short

Sturgis was the 2-0 winner over Pennfield when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Sturgis has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-23-3 record this season. As for Pennfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 28-16-7.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Sturgis and Lakeview will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pennfield, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Harper Creek on the 3rd.
