Basketball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield lost against Mount Notre Dame back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Fairfield Indians had to suffer through a 75-42 loss at the hands of Mount Notre Dame. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 450th, while Mount Notre Dame are ranked 29th).

Fairfield's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mount Notre Dame, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

When Fairfield and Mount Notre Dame next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Fairfield will try to stop Harrison's eight-game winning streak when the meet on Friday. Meanwhile, Mount Notre Dame will face off against Bellbrook and their nine-game winning streak at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
