South Lenoir entered their tilt with Dixon on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 65-53 victory over the Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-57 last Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Dixon lost, don't look at Noah Wright. Despite the final result, he shot 53% from the field en route to 22 points. The contest was Wright's seventh in a row with at least 16 points. Oscar Liguez was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

South Lenoir's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Dixon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. South Lenoir will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Kinston at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Dixon, they will head out to square off against Topsail at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
