Volleyball Recap: Frontier Cougars vs. Cameron Dragons
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beallsville, Frontier was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Cameron Dragons as the Frontier Cougars made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The final score came out to 25-22, 25-11, 25-23.
Frontier was led to victory by Mikayla Bennett and Maddie Smith. Bennett had nine digs and six aces, while Smith had four aces. The dominant performance gave Bennett a new career-high in aces.
Frontier was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Frontier's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Cameron, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
