DeKalb put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sterling Golden Warriors with a sharp 13-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for DeKalb.
Jackson Kees made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Kees has been consistent recently: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Kees was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and a double.
Kees wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cole Latimer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
