Volleyball Recap: Ridgeland Triumphs

Ridgeland was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They skirted past the Adairsville Tigers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since September 20th.

Ridgeland found their leader in sophomore Jordin Duran, who had 21 digs and four aces. Those 21 digs set a new season-high mark for Duran. Another player making a difference was Kaselynn Careathers, who had ten digs and one assist.

Ridgeland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Ridgeland's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-12 and their overall record up to 4-25. As for Adairsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-29 record this season.

Ridgeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Heritage on the 6th. Adairsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
