Basketball Recap: Southside Mavericks vs. Northside Grizzlies
Southside lost against Northside back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Southside Mavericks took a blow against the Northside Grizzlies, falling 64-29. The Mavericks were down 56-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Northside was led to victory by Erianna Gooden and Hazley Grotjohn. Gooden dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards, while Grotjohn went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Grotjohn has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence Flemming, who posted seven points and six boards.
