It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Randolph ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They snuck past the Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars with a 61-56 win. The Cardinals' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Lyons-Decatur Northeast lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Weston Hardeman, who posted ten points. Hardeman continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eyan Tuttle, who scored 12 points and five rebounds.

Randolph's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Randolph wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 58-56 win against Hartington-Newcastle on the 3rd. As for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-33 victory against Winside on the 3rd.
