Basketball Recap: Huntley Project Comes Up Short

Huntley Project lost against Lodge Grass back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Huntley Project Red Devils fell 97-85 to the Lodge Grass Indians.

Despite the loss, Huntley Project still got an impressive performance from PARKER COOK, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The match was COOK's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of ANDERSON MCNIVEN, who went 9 for 18 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Huntley Project smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Huntley Project's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lodge Grass, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Huntley Project wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 73-54 win against Joliet on the 3rd. As for Lodge Grass, they will look to defend their home court on January 9th against Plenty Coups at 6:30 p.m.
