Los Gatos waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Homestead Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Los Gatos got a great performance from Chase Oberthier as he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Beau Musser, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Los Gatos' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Homestead, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Los Gatos will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
