Volleyball Game Preview: Cherokee Braves vs. Robbinsville Black Knights

The Cherokee Braves will head out to square off against the Robbinsville Black Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cherokee has nine straight wins, Robbinsville has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Cherokee will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Rosman, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Braves put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cherokee took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 25-4.

Meanwhile, Robbinsville lost 3-0 to Hayesville on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, 25-16.

Cherokee's win bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Robbinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Everything went Cherokee's way against Robbinsville in their previous matchup back in September, as Cherokee made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
