Lapel is a perfect 5-0 against Hagerstown since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will take on the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hagerstown will be up against a hot Lapel team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Bulldogs blew past Knightstown 11-1 on Thursday.
Karlie Jannings made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Jannings was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Delaney Balser, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Taylor Mroz also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Lapel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Knightstown only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, Hagerstown never let their opponents score on Saturday. Everything went their way against Shenandoah as they made off with an 11-0 win. Hagerstown's victory was all the more impressive since the Raiders were averaging only 2.5 runs allowed on the season.
Not much got past Rylan Young, who gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Shenandoah off the board. Young has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Emma Jarrett was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Allison Stinson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Lapel's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Hagerstown, their record is now 7-1.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lapel has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .468. However, it's not like Hagerstown struggles in that department as they've averaged .491. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
