Baseball Game Preview: Oak Forest Bengals vs. Glenwood Titans

The Oak Forest Bengals will face off against the Glenwood Titans at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Oak Forest is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since March 16, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Washington, falling 11-2.

Oak Forest got a good showing from Logan Mackowiak, who tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Meanwhile, Glenwood had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out McCracken County 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted since April 24, 2024.

Dylan Huff was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Quinten Hale looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

Huff wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Joe Anderson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
