Palisades came into Tuesday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Olympic Trojans a 17-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Pumas have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincoln Wise was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Max Wearing, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Palisades always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .808. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Palisades' win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Olympic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5-1.

Looking ahead, Palisades will be playing at home against Butler at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Butler will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Olympic, they will venture away from home to face off against West Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Olympic is facing West Cabarrus at the right time seeing as West Cabarrus is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
