Football Recap: Centennial Skates Past Valley Vista with Ease + How To Watch

Everything came up roses for the Centennial Coyotes against the Valley Vista Monsoon on Friday as the squad secured a 56-6 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-0.

Centennial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Derrion Bartholomew out in front who rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Another passer making a difference was Ethan Beltran, who threw for 80 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Centennial was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley Vista only rushed for 93 rushing yards.

The win got Centennial back to even at 1-1. As for Valley Vista, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Centennial will look to defend their home field on Friday against Desert Ridge at 7:00 p.m. As for Valley Vista, they will head out to challenge Desert Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
