Reservoir came tearing into Friday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Hammond Golden Bears with points to spare, taking the game 48-32. Given the 'Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Reservoir pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Hammond, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Reservoir will face off against Oakland Mills on Wednesday. As for Hammond, they will square off against Mt. Hebron on February 21st.
