Volleyball Game Preview: Clayton Yellowjackets vs. Raton Tigers

Clayton is 1-9 against Raton since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, Clayton earned a 3-1 win over Tucumcari.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 14-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Raton extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Addison Medina. The Tigers came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Santa Rosa with plenty of help from Medina, who hit 100% for six kills and 16 digs and four aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 43 times she's played.

Raton took Santa Rosa into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 24-26, 15-11.

Clayton's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Raton, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
