Soccer Game Preview: WISH Academy vs. Animo Watts

The WISH Academy Owls will venture away from home to face off against the Animo Watts Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. WISH Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

WISH Academy had taken Animo Venice down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Owls came up short against the Pirates, falling 6-0. The shutout was out of character for WISH Academy seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2025.

Meanwhile, Animo Watts lost 5-1 to Burton on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Animo Watts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1141st, while Burton are ranked 492nd).

Animo Watts' loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for WISH Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
