Volleyball Recap: Mendota Trojans vs. Princeton Tigers

Mendota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Princeton Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss back in September.

LayLie DenauLt paced Mendota's offense, picking up six kills. Denault got some help from Eva Beetz and her nine assists. Finally, Mariyah Elam kept Mendota's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Mendota's defeat dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Princeton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-13.

Mendota didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Plano on the 11th. As for Princeton, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Byron on the 11th.
