Softball Recap: Hilbert Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Hilbert barely beat Reedsville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves blew past the Panthers 11-1 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Wolves as they're now sitting on three straight.

Kloehn Grace spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addison Grenzer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alaina Dohr, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Hilbert's record now sits at 11-6. As for Reedsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.

Hilbert didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-3 win against Roncalli on the 16th. As for Reedsville, they will challenge Gibraltar/Washington Island at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
