Football Recap: Colfax Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Colfax dropped to 1-2 on Tuesday, ending the team's eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell 26-13 to the Oak Ridge Trojans. Despite 147 more yards than the Trojans, the Falcons couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Although Colfax took the loss, they still got scores from Miakota Toy and Maya Smiley.

As for Oak Ridge, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.5 points over those games.

Oak Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maya Scipio led the charge by throwing for 153 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Rivas, who picked up 42 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Looking ahead, Colfax will take on Del Oro at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Ridge, they have already played their next match, a 26-0 victory against Oakmont on the 28th.
