Soccer Game Preview: Creighton Prep vs. Bryan

The Creighton Prep Bluejay are taking a road trip to face off against the Bryan Bears on Monday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

While Creighton Prep's victory against Millard North wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bluejay won by a goal and slipped past the Mustangs 2-1. Given Creighton Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska soccer rankings (they are ranked second, while Millard North are ranked 47th) , the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jude Van Belle and Gus Polito scored both of Creighton Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Bryan entered their tilt with Buena Vista on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Bison get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's two games straight that Bryan have won by just one goal.

Bryan's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Creighton Prep, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.

Everything went Creighton Prep's way against Bryan in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Creighton Prep made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejay since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
