Potlatch is 9-1 against Lapwai since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Loggers will host the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Potlatch's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lapwai has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Potlatch fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Genesee on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7. The loss was the Loggers' first of the season.

Kylie Heitstuman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayley McNeal, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lapwai challenged Kendrick on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Tigers, falling 41-10.

Lapwai's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Potlatch, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Everything went Potlatch's way against Lapwai when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Potlatch made off with a 15-0 victory. Do the Loggers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
