Volleyball Game Preview: Hortonville Polar Bears vs. Appleton East Patriots

After both having extra time off, the Hortonville Polar Bears and the Appleton East Patriots will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Hortonville came up short against Kaukauna and fell 3-1. The Polar Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Hortonville couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Kaukauna a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 31-29, 23-25, 25-20, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Appleton East didn't have quite enough to beat Neenah on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Patriots have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Appleton East took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 21-25, 21-25, 26-24, 15-12.

Hortonville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Appleton East, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Hortonville couldn't quite get it done against Appleton East in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 2-0. Can the Polar Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
