Recap: East Duplin Panthers vs. James Kenan Tigers
The East Duplin Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 28 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 56-22 win over James Kenan. The win was familiar territory for East Duplin who now have nine in a row.
East Duplin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zakoya Farrior, who scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsey Cave, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
East Duplin pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for James Kenan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Duplin will take on Swansboro at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for James Kenan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Lenoir at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Lenoir has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
