Richmond waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They took their game with ease, bagging a 65-29 victory over the Scotland Fighting Scots. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-17.

Davion Ingram was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amer Morrison, who put up ten points.

Scotland's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tomek McFadden, who had eight points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jesse Clifton, who earned five points and seven rebounds.

Richmond now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Scotland, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Richmond will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. One thing working in Richmond's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Scotland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-61 defeat against Hoke County on the 25th.
