Laila Harrison leads a balanced attack to beat Dixie Heights

In what's become a running theme this season, Mount Notre Dame gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Dixie Heights with a sharp 60-34 victory. Given Mount Notre Dame's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked tenth in Ohio, while Dixie Heights is ranked 59th in Kentucky), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Notre Dame to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laila Harrison, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Grace Pitzer, who scored nine points along with five steals.

Mount Notre Dame has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Dixie Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-10.

Mount Notre Dame will be playing at home against Bishop Hartley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dixie Heights, they will head out on the road to take on Conner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dixie Heights is facing Conner at the right time seeing as Conner is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
