Volleyball Recap: Allegheny-Clarion Valley Victorious

Allegheny-Clarion Valley won the last time they faced East Forest and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bears.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Allegheny-Clarion Valley took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 25-2.

Gianna Louise had a dynamite game, getting eight aces and six kills. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lexi Altman, who had 22 assists.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Allegheny-Clarion Valley will face off against Union at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Forest, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brockway at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
