The Resurrection Bandits will face off against the New Trier Trevians at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Resurrection is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Resurrection made easy work of Niles North and carried off an 8-2 victory. The Bandits haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Elizabeth Dorgan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Madison Kruszewski and Molly Reichenberger did most of the damage at the plate: Kruszewski scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Reichenberger scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Maria Midiri, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Resurrection kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, New Trier waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Huskies.

Resurrection's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for New Trier, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Resurrection took their win against New Trier in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 21-4 score. Do the Bandits have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trevians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
