Meyer gave up the first goal on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past the Marlin Bulldogs 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for Meyer as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Rodolfo Luna and Caleb Ortega scored both of Meyer's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

The win got Meyer back to even at 5-5-2. As for Marlin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Meyer will face off against rival La Vega at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Marlin is set to take on their familiar foe Robinson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
