Madeira had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Reading Blue Devils as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Madeira not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Reading between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-16.

Madeira's offense was headlined by Maddie Hambidge and Sophia Wirsing, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Dee Dee O'Malley and her 26 assists. Evie Schiller and Lucy Gianni kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with six aces apiece.

Madeira's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Reading, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Madeira has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Williamsburg on the 30th. As for Reading, they will take on Finneytown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
