Baseball Recap: Galway Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Galway's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians. The Golden Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fordians, too.

Galway pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Waterford-Halfmoon, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Looking ahead, Galway will head out to take on Cobleskill-Richmondville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matches. As for Waterford-Halfmoon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
