Preview: Valhalla Vikings vs. Pearl River Pirates
After two games on the road, Valhalla is heading back home. They will take on the Pearl River Pirates at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Valhalla will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 478th, while Pearl River is ranked 33rd).
Last Friday, Valhalla came up short against Westlake and fell 62-54.
Meanwhile, even though Ossining scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Pearl River still came out on top. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Pearl River made off with a 59-58 win over Ossining. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pearl River.
Valhalla's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-8. As for Pearl River, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
