Northern Guilford had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Southeast Guilford Falcons on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Nighthawks, who have now won 17 matches in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Northern Guilford took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-9.

Northern Guilford's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Teagan Rodulfo, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Rodulfo has posted over her last five contests. Another player making a difference was Alexis Thielman, who had eight digs.

Northern Guilford's win bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Southeast Guilford, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Northern Guilford will head out to challenge Kings Mountain at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southeast Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
