Wheat Ridge suffered their biggest defeat since February 7, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 85-59 to the Dakota Ridge Eagles. The Farmers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Wheat Ridge lost, don't look at Da'Mon Bobbs. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-11 to rack up 12 points. That's the most points Bobbs has posted since back in December of 2024. Amir Nix was another key player, putting up eight points.

It was another big night for Ethan Berninger, who went 11-for-18 en route to 30 points and five boards for Dakota Ridge. The contest was Berninger's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Jude Herron also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first rebound of the season.

Wheat Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Dakota Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
