Preview: West Mifflin Titans vs. South Park Eagles
The West Mifflin Titans will head out on the road to face off against the South Park Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Mifflin will be strutting in after a victory while South Park will be coming in after a loss.
West Mifflin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Hopewell 42-7 at home. The result was nothing new for West Mifflin, who have now won three contests by 35 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, South Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 31-14 fall against McGuffey.
West Mifflin's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Hopewell, Quaker Valley, and Seton LaSalle. As for South Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
West Mifflin came up short against South Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 21-14. Can West Mifflin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
