Basketball Game Recap: Kingman Eagles vs. Douglass Bulldogs

Kingman won the last time they faced Douglass, and Ben Bradshaw did his part to make sure it happened again. The Kingman Eagles walked away with a 56-46 victory over the Douglass Bulldogs on Friday thanks in part to Bradshaw, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. He has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Wood, who posted 12 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Douglass saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bronsyn Knisley went 6 of 8 en route to 16 points. Thanks to that strong game, Knisley now owns an excellent 48.4% field goal percentage. Kemper Cox was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Kingman's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for Douglass, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Kingman has already played their next matchup, a 53-27 defeat against Conway Springs on the 4th. As for Douglass, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-26 loss against Trinity Academy on the 7th.
