Volleyball Recap: Anderson Comes Up Short on the Road Against Frankton

Anderson kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Frankton Eagles, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 19 in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-11.

Frankton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alana Thompson, who had nine digs and three aces. Thompson is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Finlee Clevenger, who had seven digs and one assist.

Frankton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Anderson will host Pendleton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Frankton, they are taking a road trip to take on Blackford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
